Trophy Fishing at Wolf Bay Lodge

Accommodations

The Camp, Boats & Service

Wolf Bay Lodge is situated on the pristine shores of the remote Phelps Lake in northeastern Saskatchewan. It is the lone occupancy on the lake providing unparalleled peace and solitude.

Explore and fishe the waters of Phelps Lake and surrounding day use lakes from 16 foot aluminum boats powered by environmentally friendly Yamaha 25hp four-stroke & 15hp outboard motors. All boats are equipped with padded swivel seats, casting decks, GPS fish finders, and marine radios for communication with the base-camp or fellow fisherman. Enjoy a shore lunch on one of the countless islands on Phelps Lake. Your guide will prepare you a mouth watering meal of fresh Pike or Trout in one of many ways, baked, fried or your own request, along with all the classic shore lunch side fixin’s.

At days end, relax and enjoy a cold beer in the ‘Bear Den’ lounge with tasty appetizers.  Home-cooked, all you can eat, dinners are prepared and served daily. Wind down the day and enjoy the evening sunset and loon calls from the comfort of the screened gazebo.

Retire for the night to your thermostat controlled heated cabin. All guest cabins have private washrooms with pressurized hot showers, indoor toilets, and daily housekeeping.

Ode to Wolf Bay Lodge

A place so properly named For on more than one occasion A wild friend appears And poses to be framed

The peace is so majestic You never would have thought The fishing could be so wild In her web you will be caught

But you must release the big ones As they do not belong to us Their home is deep within The waters they so trust

If you are so lucky She’s yours alone to roam So take care of her beauty And you’ll always feel at home

As you leave for your departure The shores you will adore So do not be too surprised When you’re longing to come for more
